Application for the 75% Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy starts right away, Monday, April 27, 2020.  Make sure you have all the details.

Presented by two of Canada’s top experts in small business tax and benefits advisory, Hugh Neilson FCPA, FCA, TEP and Joseph R. Devaney CPA, CA, this webinar will guide owners and their accounting advisors from the basics through to the practical realities of the program.  We will cover commonly asked questions, how to apply, whether the program is the best fit given the other supports, and other cautions and possibilities.

Important note: Although application for the subsidy commences on April 27, 2020, CRA has indicated that the first batch of applications will be processed on May 4, with payments beginning on May 5.  As we expect applications up to May 3 will be processed at the same time, there should be no advantage to applying on the first day as opposed to later in the week.  Make sure you understand the CEWS well before applying.

How it works?

LOGISTICS

  • Access information for the LIVE webinar will be emailed by noon MST/MDT April 27, 2020. If you do not receive this, please notify us immediately at 1-877-438-2057 or at info@videotax.com.

  • The live seminar will be broadcasted using the bigmarker platform.  We recommend using Chrome or firefox for the best LIVE webinar expertise. Click here to ensure you have the necessary system setup- https://www.bigmarker.com/system_check

  • Once the live webinar has ended, within 24 hours the recording will be available on the Video Tax News online portal until May 4, 2020. Registrants may watch the video as many times as required at any time during the session dates. The webinar can be paused and/or reversed. Please ensure to allow a minimum of 1 hour during the session dates to complete the course.

EMAIL ADDRESSES
Unique email addresses are required for each registrant. If the attendee does not have an email address, you may use a “placeholder” email. Please note that if “placeholder” email addresses are used they will not receive any email communication.

NAME CHANGES
Name changes may be made at any time prior to the session start date at no charge. Written notice is required by either email (info@videotax.com) or fax at 1-877-437-4455.

CANCELLATION
Notice of cancellation must be received in writing to info@videotax.com.  Cancellation received no more than 7 days prior to the start session will be processed for a $50 fee. No refunds or cancellations received within 7 days of the start of the seminar. Refunds will be processed to the original form of payment.

NO SHOW
Unfortunately, there is no refund for registrants that do not attend the seminar for which they are registered including reasons such as missing system requirements or scheduling conflicts.

CONFIRMATION OF REGISTRATION
Registrations are confirmed once the registrant receives a confirmation email from Video Tax News. (If you are missing it, please call 1-877-438-2057.)
