On May 25, 2020, the Department of Finance launched a consultation on the future of the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy. The consultation is scheduled to close on June 5, 2020. It asks participants to take a short survey, or send an email if they have a more detailed response. The focus is to obtain information and feedback from businesses of all sizes, labour representatives, not-for-profits and charities on potential changes to the program, with a view to maximize employment in Canada and encourage growth.
