On August 7, 2020, the Government of Canada released further details on the Fish Harvester Benefit and Grant:
Fish Harvester Benefit
The Fish Harvester Benefit, provides income support to eligible self-employed fish harvesters and sharespersons crew who cannot access the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy.
This benefit covers up to 75% of income losses beyond a 25% threshold for the 2020 tax year when compared to 2018 or 2019. The maximum benefit is $10,164.

Fish Harvester Grant
The Fish Harvester Grant provides a non-repayable grant of up to $10,000 to self-employed fish harvesters with a valid commercial fishing licence in 2020 and non-deferrable business costs of up to $40,000.
This program will be for self-employed fish harvesters impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and who are ineligible for the Canada Emergency Business Account or equivalent measures.
